"Beckham- new face of Lego??"
Golden balls Beckham has apparently sparked a rise in LEGO sales after admitting he is a fan of the toy on the Jonathan Ross Show. He said he fills fills his spare time by putting the plastic blocks together and recently ordered the Taj Mahal set when he was bored in Italy. Sales of the massive 5,922-piece set have now risen by a huge 663 per cent since his revelation.
Becks, his wife Victoria and their three sons have now been invited to the company's head office in Billund, Denmark, where they will be given a tour of the original park and its museum.
According to UK newspaper The Sun, a spokesman for Lego said: 'David and the boys are big fans and we are always open to new ideas from people passionate about Lego.We hope they take us up on our invitation.'
