Real Madrid defeated by Lyon

Real Madrid who were hoping to be playing in the Champions League final which is to be at their own Bernabeu Stadium were kicked out of the competition when Olympique de Lyonnais aka Lyon drew 1-1 with a 2-1 advantage when the Spaniards flew out to France. When Cristiano Ronaldo scored at the 6th minute, everyone thought Lyon would qualify on away goals if Real did not score by full time. But Lyon's own Miralem Pjanić scored at the 75 minute to make sure Lyon won on both legs.
