As the vuvuzela debate rages on, struggling to be heard over the constant buzz of the vuvuzelas themselves, one player has attempted to publicly make peace with the mass-produced plastic horns that have already drawn complaints and blame from so many of his peers.
In an interview for Spanish TV, midfielder Andres Iniesta was presented with a vuvu and asked to give it a go. Though appearing a bit hesitant, Iniesta accepted the challenge and tried to show the thing who's boss with a chuckle-impaired blow. The result? Nothing. Everyone laughed and Iniesta surrendered the horn back to the interviewer, who demonstrated just how painfully easy it is to make it work before handing it back to Iniesta for another go. And, with a mighty puff ... nothing.
Iniesta played it off with more laughter and made like he was going to throw the insubordinate vuvuzela away, but he didn't. The vuvuzela wins again.
