So, Who is Ramires???

Chelsea have completed a deal with Brazillian striker Ramires for around £17m on a 4 year contract.

So, who is this Ramires??? FRMS tells the details.

1 Ramires was in the squad at the World Cup and as the tournament progressed, his role developed. Suspension ruled him out of Brazil's defeat to Holland after an impressive performance in the last 16 against Chile.

2. His full name is Ramires Santos dos Nascimento. If that sounds familiar its because he shares a name with a certain Edson Arantes de Nascimento- or Pele. No relation though.

3. In 2008 he played for Brazil under-23 squad at the Olympics and won a bronze medal.

4. In Brazil, Cruzeiro fans nicknamed him the 'Blue Kenyan'- blue for the club colours and Kenyan for his stamina on the park which put the fans in mind of marathon runners.

5. He moved to Benfica last summer and was part of their title-winning squad.

6 Ramires has 16 caps for Brazil but has not played in 75% of his country's recent internationals. This may mean Chelsea have to appeal to get the player a work permit.

7, Benfica play the midfield diamond formation, similar to Chelsea under Ancelotti. Ramires usually played the right side but can also do the job to the left.

8. He was in the Benfica side knocked out of the Europa League by Liverpool last season.

9. Ramires isn't noted as a goalscoring midfielder but he is rated highly for work rate and effectiveness.

10. A box-to-box midfielder, he provides more chances than take them.
