John Terry is no longer Captain!

John is no longer captain.
England's 12th man made the decision
Rio Ferdinand will take over as captain.

John Terry is no longer the captain of England but don't worry John, you're still no.1 in Chelsea. A statement was released by the FA and England manager Fabio Capello saying;

“After much thought, I have made the decision that it will be best for me to take the captaincy away from John Terry. “As a captain with the team, John Terry has displayed extremely positive behaviour. However, I have to take into account other considerations and what is best for all of the England squad. “What is best for all of the England team has inspired my choice. “John Terry was notified first. “When I chose John Terry as captain, I also selected a vice-captain and also named a third choice. There is no reason to change this decision. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank The FA, particularly Lord David Triesman and Ian Watmore for allowing me to make this decision in my own time and in the best interest of the team.”

This statement comes after JT allegedly had an affair with the former Stamford Bridge teammate and fellow England center back Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Perroncel. John Terry is a married man with children which was the main reason the public was angry. I mean, can you blame the English people? When you are a captain of your country let alone in a country where football is practically the air they breathe, you have to be a good example to all those kids who beg their parents to wear that jersey with your name on it. You are an ambassador of your country. But I can't blame the guy for having some *coughs* liking to Vanessa. She is hot. But come on, what more could you want? You have the money, the cars, the fame, the wife, the kids, arguably the best defender ever!

I am not sure whether to be happy or sad that JT is no longer captain. I respect JT as a footballer who has achieved so much in his career. I am sad cause he was fired for something off-pitch. Football is strictly football. But now, Rio Ferdinand is set to be England captain. Don't worry John. As much as people can't stop talking about it, I still respect you and the way you play the beautiful game (football, not women).
